About Us

As the preeminent organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management, the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) is a global not-for-profit organization representing more than 3,500 industrial, service, nonprofit, charitable and government entities throughout the world. Founded in 1950, RIMS brings networking, professional development and education opportunities to its membership of more than 10,000 risk management professionals who operate in more than 120 countries. NEO RIMS Chapter is comprised of 80+ members of the Cleveland area risk management community.  The purpose of the Chapter is to:

  1. provide opportunities for dialogue, education, advancement, and improvement in the risk management discipline through meetings, seminars, communications, publications, and other programs and activities;
  2. articulate and advocate the interests of the risk management discipline before legislative, administrative, and judicial branches of government; and
  3. promulgate policies and conducting activities for the betterment of all those individuals or organizations involved in some aspect of the risk management discipline.
  4. Foster relationships with other professional societies and organizations in order to advance its objectives.
